May 7 , 2018 01:21 PM

For Immediate Release April 6, 2018 .  The Brock Yates Memorial Fund is excited to announce its entry in the 2018 Tire Rack One Lap of America.

Steve and Alex Rossini, owners of Highland Design Studio, will be our official team for 2018 and One Lap competitors for the first time. Photographers for the One Lap of America since 2003, Steve and Alex will be on the other side of the camera this year after documenting the event for the last 15 years.  Highland Design Studio will continue to document the event for 2018.

The Tire Rack One Lap of America was originally started and organized by Brock Yates. It is the modern evolution of the infamous Cannonball Baker Sea-To-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dashes of the 1970's. Since being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s the task has been assumed by his son, Brock, Jr. This annual contest continues to challenge automotive manufacturers, vehicle tuners and driving enthusiasts alike.

Steve and Alex will be driving a specially modified 2009 VW GTI that is graciously on loan from long time One Lap participant Reg Nobel and impeccably prepared by Josh Paashaus from Nothing Leaves Stock.

About The Brock Yates Memorial Fund:

The Brock Yates Memorial Fund was created through the Alzheimer's Association in 2013 to raise money and awareness of the fatal disease that is Alzheimer’s.  Brock battled with Alzheimer’s for 14 years. He dedicated his life to all automobile enthusiasts around the country. Brock was the long term Editor of Car and Driver as well as the mastermind behind the Cannonball Sea-To-Shining Sea Memorial Trophy Dash and One Lap of America. Brock's influence has touched so many of us in different ways. By supporting this Memorial Fund, we can honor this special man for all that he has given to us.

The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research. The funds raised by the Memorial Fund will go directly toward supporting their mission.

Please show your support today by donating any amount to our online fund. Thank you for joining us in making a difference.
